We’re looking for an International Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist.

Do you feel energized when talking about compensation & benefits in an international context? Are you meticulous in taking something from idea to implementation? Will you guide senior management stakeholders to make the right decisions regarding solid, fair, and equal compensation? Then we are looking for you to temporarily fill the international C&B specialist role within the HR Service Delivery team. In this role, you will be (jointly) responsible for compensation and benefits guidelines, policies, the end-of-year salary round, and other topics.

How you will make a difference

You will have a joint responsibility in a team of 3 to ensure fair and equal remuneration. As the team are currently working on renewing the Job & Rewards framework and has a lot of policies under review, as well as preparation for the end-of-year salary round.

The SeniorCompensation & Benefits department is responsible for the HR governance and the international C&B policies and guidelines, from policy design to giving practical/procedural advice and support to management and colleagues. Also, the C&B department is included in many (international) projects to share knowledge and fulfill an expert advising role.

As a part of your daily tasks you:

  • Will act as a project lead in C&B topics of change. Amongst others that will be the end-of-year salary review rounds and questions and analysis around the remuneration of our senior and executive management;
  • Will help to design, improve, and update C&B policies, including international communication;
  • Are jointly responsible for the overall C&B policies and group HR policies stated in the Bank Inhouse Regulations (TIR). Together with the team you oversee and align these policies and keep them up to date;
  • Act as a thought leader and sparring partner for senior management on the development of HR on C&B topics, balancing fairness and equity with cost-effectiveness, and inspiring to develop of sustainable policies and working conditions that make it stand out in the banking sector;
  • Implement legislation and applicable guidelines related to remuneration, selection, and appointments of key decision-makers, including reporting and publication requirements;
  • Provide management information and relevant reports on C&B topics;
  • Guide the HR Audits and monitor the follow-up process on issues.

As part of the Compensation & Benefits team, you will work closely together with the Group Director HR, the 5 HR Managers of the (international) branches, and the HR consultants. Other important points of contact for you are the Finance, Compliance & Risk, Internal Audit, Vendor Management, and Legal department.

  • Show a strong affinity with governance matters and remuneration legislation in an international context within the financial Industry;
  • Can influence and persuade local and groupwide stakeholders within HR and outside HR (senior and executive management);
  • Maintain integrity and honesty when handling HR data, given its sensitive nature;
  • Connect closely with HR colleagues across the group in all 5 countries, as well as senior (and executive) management and our co-worker representations.

Furthermore, it is expected that you:

  • bring experience and expertise in international compensation & benefits in the financial industry, preferably within the banking industry;
  • Have outstanding interpersonal, relationship, and advisory skills;
  • Have strong analytical skills;
  • Have an analytical mind, are well organized and hands-on;
